TEHRAN, Iran, July 13. Iranian government's priority is to control inflation and all administrative organization will focus to curb the origins of the high inflation rate in the coming months, said the Minister of Economic Affair and Finances Ehsan Khandouzi, Trend reports citing ILNA.
"The growing liquidity, increasing production costs, lack of discipline in monetary and banking are short-term causes of high inflation. The government plans to reduce these issues and gradually curb the inflation in the coming months," he said.
He pointed out that production costs hiked in June due to the increasing price of inputs, implementation of subsidies, raised salaries and import inflation.
According to the official, the government is controlling the budget deficit as part of its agenda to control high inflation.
