BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. There are 136 renewable energy source (RES) projects in Kyrgyzstan, said today Deputy Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Tilek Aitaliev, Trend reports via tazabek.kg.
During his speech at Central Asia Clean Energy Forum, Aitaliev noted that the list of projects includes the construction of small HPPs, solar power plants and wind farms.
He also informed that Kyrgyzstan has recently adopted law on RES, which includes several points on tariff setting, and issues of ensuring unhindered transit of electricity.
These measures, as the deputy minister said, made it possible to involve the private sector in the construction of power plants using renewable energy sources.
