BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan signed 19 documents aimed at deepening mutually beneficial cooperation, Trend reports via Business Turkmenistan news agency.
The documents were signed by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during his official visit to Tashkent.
The list of signed documents includes agreements on cooperation in the development of transport and transit potential, tourism, industry, agriculture and sports.
Furthermore, agreements have been signed on the management, protection and rational use of water resources of the Amu Darya river and the holding of a joint competition for initiative research projects.
They also include the program of trade and economic cooperation and the development of industrial collaboration for 2022-2025 and the action plan for the practical implementation of the provisions of the intergovernmental agreement on the establishment and regulation of the Uzbek-Turkmen border trade zone.
