BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. Uzbekistan’s Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) has received a patent for a method for extracting platinum,Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
For many years, the AMMC has been researching rare types of metal and developing methods for their production. It already has technologies for the production of copper, gold, silver, palladium and rhenium. At the moment, the plant can produce seven types of products.
AMMC’s researchers already have plans to produce other rare and precious metals as well.
According to them, platinum mining will positively affect the production and economic spheres of Uzbekistan.
