BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. Iran imported 3.42 million tons of goods worth $5.69 billion in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022), Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
Iran’s imports for the 7th month increased by 23 percent in value, while decreased by 22 percent in volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.
In the 7th month, Iran imported goods worth about $2.23 billion from the UAE (an increase of 73 percent), worth $1.44 billion from China (an increase of 35 percent) worth $538 million from Türkiye (an increase of 26 percent), worth $315 million from India (no increase or decrease), worth $148 million from Germany (an increase of 10 percent).
In total, Iran's foreign trade turnover for the 7th month amounted to 13 million tons worth $9.85 billion, which is a decrease of 34 percent in value compared to the same month last Iranian year.
