BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 2. Kazakhstan and South Korea are interested in the implementation of various joint investments projects in Kazakhstan, Trend reports via the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan.
The issue was discussed between Deputy Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan Dinara Shcheglova and Adviser to the Project Manager of the Fresh Wind program at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea Ju Hyun Park.
As the deputy minister noted, Korea is one of the largest economic partners of Kazakhstan.
"I would like to note the successful implementation of agreements between Kazakhstan and South Korea. In particular, the construction of the Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan LLP plant for the production of Hyundai cars in Almaty, the implementation of a memorandum of cooperation between the Khorgos-Eastern Gate special economic zone, and the Busan Port Administration. Also, the KAZAKH INVEST national company is working on the implementation of a project for the construction of modular greenhouses in the North Kazakhstan region," she said.
The Korean representative noted the economic potential of the country and mutually beneficial prospects in the fields of industry, subsoil use and geology, as well as in transport sector. Issues related to the implementation of the Fresh Wind program were also overviewed.
The Fresh Wind program, signed in 2019, is aimed at activating comprehensive Kazakh-Korean economic, trade and cultural relations.
