BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14. Kazakhstan’s revenues from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 237.6 billion tenge ($498.2 million) from January through September 2022, which is 53 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport in September 2022 amounted to 34.7 billion tenge ($72.9 million), which is 63.2 percent more than during the same period of 2021.
The volume of cargo, luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 2.1 billion tons, which is 3.8 percent less compared to the same period of last year (292.7 million tons in September 2022, down by 5 percent year-on-year).
Cargo turnover amounted to 101.2 billion ton-kilometers which is 7.4 percent less than during the same period of last year (13.05 billion in September 2022, a decrease of 12.4 percent).
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 87.1 billion tenge ($182.7 million) over the reporting period of 2022, which is 25.2 percent more than during the same period of last year. September revenue from passenger transportation was 10.9 billion tenge ($22.9 million), which is 23.5 percent more compared to September 2021.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 5.1 billion people, which is 5.4 percent more than during the same period of last year (679.3 million passengers in September 2022, down by 11.1 percent).
The passenger turnover amounted to 55.4 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 5.9 percent.
The passenger turnover in September was 6.9 billion (12.4 percent less year-on-year).
