BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. Tajikistan imported 1,008,443 tons of oil and petroleum products from January through September 2022, Trend reports citing the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
The value of Tajik imports of oil and petroleum products in the first 9 months of this year amounted to $720 million.
According to the Antimonopoly Service of Tajikistan, about 90 percent of petroleum products are imported from Russia. About 6 percent more from Kazakhstan and a small part from Uzbekistan, Belarus and Azerbaijan.
Earlier, the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan reported that in the first half of 2022, more than 2,000 tons of diesel fuel, over 20 tons of gasoline, 2,700 tons of mazut, about 1,600 tons of bitumen were produced, and oil extraction amounted to about 12,700 tons.
