BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8.Türkiye has imported a total of 362,131 tons of crude oil from Kazakhstan in February 2023, Trend reports citing Türkiye’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
Thus, Türkiye’s import of Kazakh crude oil in the reporting month decreased by 26 percent compared to February 2022 (488,968 tons), and by 16.4 percent, compared to the volume imported in February 2021 (433,456 tons).
At the same time, the volume of Kazakhstan's oil exports to Türkiye almost halved, compared to 633,694 tons supplied in January 2023.
According to the report, Kazakhstan ranked third among main exporters of crude to Türkiye in the reporting period of 2023, following after Russia with 732,152 tons of oil, and Iraq with 610,216 tons.
Meanwhile, Türkiye's total crude imports in the reporting period amounted to over 2 million tons, which is a decrease of 13 percent year-on-year (2.3 million tons in February 2022), and an increase of 33.3 percent, compared to February 2021 (1.5 million tons).
