BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 7. Kazakhstan's QazaqGaz National Company plans to start production of gas at the Anabay field in the Zhambyl region in the third quarter of 2023, director-general of QazaqGaz Exploration and Production, Almas Kuandykov said during the conference on drilling, maintenance and geophysics, Trend reports via Kazakh media.
“The field development process is currently underway. The initial volume of production will amount to 16 million cubic meters, gradually increasing to 40 million cubic meters of gas per year,” Kuandykov said, adding that it is also planned to create 100 workplaces during the construction period.
Further, the official added that the design work is currently underway at the Pridorozhnoye gas field in South Kazakhstan, where it is planned to start construction and installation work on the comprehensive gas treatment unit at the end of 2023.
The initial production volume of the Pridorozhnoye gas field is expected to reach 107 million cubic meters, with a later increase up to 300 million cubic meters of gas per year.
QazaqGaz National Company at the moment is working to obtain licenses for geological exploration of new areas. The company plans to carry out geological work in the Mangyshlak, Caspian and Aral basins, as well as in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan.
