Kazakhstan considers extending gasoline export limitation

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 21. Kazakhstan plans to extend the ban on the export of gasoline, diesel fuel, and certain types of petroleum products by road transportation, Trend reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

According to the proposed legislation, gasoline carried in the gas tank of a vehicle and aviation fuel for research work is exempt from the ban.

The prohibition is imposed to guarantee the stability of the national economy and prevent the shortage of oil products on the domestic market from occurring.

The proposed extension to the Joint order of the Ministers of Energy, Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan and the Chairman of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan "On some issues of export of petroleum products from the territory of Kazakhstan" will be available for discussion on the government portal until the January 3.
