BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 14. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Kazakhstan amounted to 44,400 tons worth approximately $15.5 million for the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2023),Trend reports via the statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
According to the statistics, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Kazakhstan for the reporting month decreased by 38.4 percent in value, while increasing by 5 times in volume compared to the same month in the last Iranian year.
Meanwhile, in the first month of the last Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022), the non-oil trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 7,300 tons worth $25.1 million.
The main goods traded between Iran and Kazakhstan for the first month of the current year were agricultural and food products, tobacco products, petrochemical products, wheat, barley, various types of equipment and etc.
The value of Iran's total non-oil trade turnover amounted to $6.73 billion in the first month of the current Iranian year.
In general, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Kazakhstan amounted to 751,000 tons worth $320 million for the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).
This is a decrease of 15.6 percent in value and 40 percent in volume compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
