Kyrgyzstan reveals its top export destinations in 2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 6. Three main countries that imported goods from Kyrgyzstan in 2022 were Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistic Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

The value of exports from Kyrgyzstan to Russia amounted to $963 million last year, which made 41 percent of the country’s total exports. The exports increased by 2.4 times, compared to $393 million in 2021.

The trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Russia totaled $3.2 billion in 2022, which is a 40-percent increase over $2.3 billion in 2021. Exports from Russia to Kyrgyzstan reached $2.2 billion in 2022, increasing by 18 percent over $1.9 billion in the preceding year.

Kyrgyz exports to Kazakhstan amounted to $438 million (20 percent of the country’s total export) in 2022, increasing by 14 percent, compared to $382 million in 2021.

Overall, trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan totaled $1.1 billion in 2022, which is an increase of 13 percent, compared to $1 billion in 2021. The value of exports from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan made up $749 million last year, which is an increase of 13 percent over $661 million in 2021.

Furthermore, exports from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan amounted to $236 million (10 percent of the country’s total export) in the reporting period, increasing by 31 percent over the same period of 2021 ($180 million).

The value of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan amounted to $599 million in 2022, which is an increase of 20 percent, compared to $496 million in 2021. Uzbek exports to Kyrgyzstan made up $362 million in 2022, which is by 14 percent more than in 2021 ($316 million).
