BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 13. Turkish ports handled 31 million tons of cargo from January through November 2022, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
During this period, ships flying the flag of Türkiye transported 2.05 million tons of cargo to local ports, while ships flying the flags of other countries – more than 29.1 million tons.
Meanwhile, 6.7 million tons of transit cargo were delivered to the Turkish ports, the ministry said.
The ports of Türkiye received 361.9 million tons of cargo from January through November 2022.
During the specified period, cargo transportation by ships flying the flag of Türkiye through local ports amounted to 25.7 million tons, while that by ships flying the flags of other countries – 336.1 million tons.
Turkish ports handled 73.7 million tons of transit cargo from January through November 2022.
The ports of Türkiye handled 386.3 million tons of cargo in 2021.
Cargo transportation by ships flying the flag of Türkiye amounted to 29.9 million tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries - 356.3 million tons last year.
Besides, Turkish ports handled 78 million tons of transit cargo in 2021.
