TEHRAN, Iran, October 31. The Iranian government has facilitated the regulations for the import of mining machinery, said the Deputy Minister of Industry Mine and Trade Reza Mohtasham Pour, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
A total of 2,000 mining machinery are estimated to be imported into the country while domestic production would supply the rest of the demands for the mining sector, he said adding that 15,000 mining machinery should be produced domestically.
Importers have no restriction for import of new mining machinery, however importing second-hand or older than five years machinery are limited, he noted.
The deputy pointed out that Iran is negotiating with a foreign manufacturer for joint production of heavy mining machinery.
