Iran observes surge in power generation of Eslamabad-e-Gharb TPP

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 27. The electricity generation of Iran's Eslamabad-e-Gharb Thermal Power Plant in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran), increased by 10 percent during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Executive Director of Bistoon Power Generation Management Company Masoud Mirza Asghari said, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.

Mirza Asghari noted that the Eslamabad-e-Gharb TPP generated more than 374 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in 7 months.

“Meanwhile, in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022) alone, the power plant generated 57.1 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, which is an increase of 6.3 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year,” he added.

The director also said that of the total generated electricity for the 7th month, about 57 million kilowatt-hours were supplied to Iran’s electricity network.

Iran’s Eslamabad-e-Gharb TPP has 4 gas units, each of which can generate 25 megawatt-hours of electricity.
