Iran’s non-oil trade with Türkiye picks up steam

In the first month of the current Iranian year, Iran's non-oil exports to Türkiye reached $248 million, reflecting a 2.8% increase in value but a significant 43.4% decline in weight compared to the same period last year. Overall, Iran’s non-oil exports for the month totaled $2.94 billion, showing a decrease of 8% in value and 8.3% in weight compared to the previous year.

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. Iran's non-oil exports to Türkiye amounted to $248 million during the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through April 20, 2025), totaling about 261,000 tons of goods

Data obtained by Trend from the Customs Administration indicates that while the value of exports increased by 2.8 percent compared to the same period last year, the volume of exports saw a decline of 43.4 percent in weight.

Meanwhile, Iran had exported goods worth $241 million and 461,000 tons to Türkiye in the previous year.

The stats reveals that Iran's exports to Türkiye primarily consisted of agricultural products, food items, petrochemical products, and industrial and mining products.

Meanwhile, the overall trade volume between Iran and Türkiye in the first month of the current Iranian year reached a value of $785 million, with 598,000 tons of goods exchanged. This represents a 38.3 percent increase in value, although the weight of trade decreased by 21.3 percent compared to the same period last year.

The data of Customs Administration shows that Iran's total non-oil exports for the month amounted to $2.94 billion, with a total weight of 8.95 million tons. This marks an 8 percent decline in value and an 8.3 percent decrease in weight compared to the same month in the previous year.
