BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. The value of total sales at the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) amounted to 81 trillion rials (about $175 million) for the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2023), Trend reports citing the IRENEX.
More than 328,000 tons of hydrocarbon products worth 67.9 trillion rials (about $147 million) were sold at the Iran Energy Exchange within the 1st month.
Of this, approximately 30.1 trillion rials (about $64.9 million) worth of hydrocarbon products were sold on the domestic floor, while 37.8 trillion rials (about $81.6 million) worth - on the international floor of the IRENEX.
Moreover, about 559 million kilowatt-hours of electricity worth 553 billion rials (about $1.19 million) were sold at the IRENEX within the 1st month.
At the same time, Standard Parallel Salaf (Islamic contract, similar to futures) documents worth approximately 12 trillion rials (about $25.8 million) were also sold at the energy exchange for the reporting month.
Along with all these, 21,562 certificates of deposit for crude oil and gas condensate worth 571 billion rials (about $1.23 million) were sold at the Iran Energy Exchange during the first month.
Meanwhile, the value of total sales at the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) amounted to approximately 1.42 quadrillion rials (about $3.53 billion) over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).
About 7.29 million tons of hydrocarbon products worth 1.26 quadrillion rials (about $3.13 billion) were sold at the Iran Energy Exchange within the last Iranian year, which accounted for 89 percent of total sales at the IRENEX.
The products at Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) are sold under the SANA exchange rate.
The SANA system is a system introduced by the Central Bank of Iran to the currency exchange offices, where the price of 1 euro is 463,349 rials, and the price of $1 is 420,210 rials.
