BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 22. Iran's raw steel exports increased by 16 percent during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
According to the statistics, Iran exported about 4.8 million tons of raw steel within 7 months. Meanwhile, in the same period of the last Iranian year, the figure stood at about 4.06 million tons.
Iran exported 2.82 million tons of billet and bloom in 7 months, which is an increase of 4 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year. The figure was about 2.72 million tons in the same period of the last Iranian year.
Iran also exported 860,000 tons of slabs for the reporting period, which is 36 percent less than in the same period last Iranian year. So, export amounted to 1.34 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Furthermore, Iran exported 1.78 million tons of steel products over 7 months. This is a decrease of 4 percent compared to the same period of last Iranian year.
Thus, the country’s steel products exports amounted to 1.85 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Over 7 months, Iran exported 378,000 tons of sponge iron, which is a decrease of 46 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. The figure amounted to 698,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
