BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 1. As many as 4 small facilities producing petrochemical products were put into use in the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone in Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran), on September 1, 2022, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.
According to the report, these facilities were built and put into use with the investment of the private sector.
One of the facilities put into use in the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone is Iran’s Behin Polymer Company's catalyst production facility, which costs 500 billion rials (about $11.9 million).
In addition, a facility of Petro Nikan Company for the production of paper and cardboard from calcium carbonate at a cost of 700 billion rials (about $16.6 million) and $2.6 million was put into use in the mentioned zone.
According to the report, the other facility launched in the zone is Shadbeh Afrouz Sabalan Gostar Company’s facility for the production of benzoic acid and terephthalic acid, which costs 330 billion rials (about $7.85 million).
At the same time, the PVC granule production facility of Sina Sud Company was put into use in Iran’s Petrochemical Special Economic Zone. A total of 400 billion rials (about $9.52 million) has been spent in this regard.
As a result of the launch of the mentioned 4 facilities, a total of 95 people were provided with jobs.
