BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 28. Auto manufacturing in Iran increased by 48 percent during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trendreports.
Within 2 months, a total of 193,437 various vehicles (including passenger cars, pick-ups, buses and minibuses, vans, trucks and trailers and etc.) were produced in Iran, while in the same period of last Iranian year, the figure stood at 117,318.
Alone the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2023), 130,723 various vehicles were manufactured in the country. This is an increase of 42 percent compared to 82,553 units in the same month last Iranian year.
In total, about 1.35 million various vehicles, including passenger cars, pick-ups, heavy trucks and trailers, vans, buses and minibuses, etc. were manufactured in Iran over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), - an increase of 39 percent compared to about 971,000 in preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
There are three giant car manufacturing companies - Iran Khodro, Saipa, and Pars Khodro, operating in Iran. By implementing various projects, Iran intends to increase manufacturing in the auto industry.
