BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. Large industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan produced 3.9 million tons of coal from January through September 2022, Trend reports via the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The growth rate compared to the corresponding period in 2021 amounted to 106.9 percent.
During the corresponding period, the largest share of coal production by the enterprises fell in the Tashkent region (95 percent), and the production volume amounted to 3.7 million tons.
For the autumn-winter season, the state plans to sell an additional 882,000 tons of locally mined coal to the population.
Uzbekistan is rich in minerals such as gold, uranium, copper, coal and phosphates.
