BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has allocated an additional $5.35 million in new funding to the existing Development Objective Grant Agreement (DOAG) with the Uzbek Ministry of Public Education,Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
DOAG describes USAID's commitment to invest $55 million to support the ministry’s ambitious program of comprehensive reform of the general secondary education system for the period 2019-2026.
The new funding will be used to support ongoing programs. USAID is partnering with the Ministry of Public Education to improve the teaching of English, Uzbek, mathematics, information and communication technologies; teacher training, provision of textbooks, workbooks and teachers' manuals.
