BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. Russian FESCO transport company has opened a subsidiary in Uzbekistan to develop logistics services in the region,Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
The subsidiary named FESCO TURAN was registered on October 6, 2022 in Tashkent.The company will provide a full range of logistics services to clients in Uzbekistan, as well as in Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The focus of subsidiary's work will be directed to the operational support of the FESCO's existing regular container services from the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (Russia) to Tashkent and Angren cities, the new FESCO Trans China Railway intermodal service from Southeast Asia through the Chinese port of Lianyungang to Tashkent.
The activities of the new company will also include the development of rail container transportation from Europe to Uzbekistan and between the countries of South Asia and Uzbekistan through the port of Novorossiysk (Russia).
Previously, FESCO has started shipping cargo from Japan to Uzbekistan.
The company also noted that it is planned to supply spare parts from Japan for the production of cars in Uzbekistan. As part of the shipment of the first batch of products, FESCO transports 18-forty-foot containers.
“The shipment of the first batch of products under the new FESCO Trans China Railway service took place on August 21. Now the containers are at the Kazakh-Chinese logistics terminal in the city of Lianyungang (China). Arrival at the station in Tashkent is scheduled for October 15,” the company said.
