Chinese investors build large agro-logistic complex in Uzbekistan's Fergana region

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. Chinese investors financed a construction of a large modern agro-logistic complex in the Kuva district of the Fergana region of Uzbekistan,Trend reports via EastFruit.

The agro-logistic complex named “Yingtai agrocultural food technology” includes refrigerators with a total capacity of 1,500 tons, a sorting and drying line for processing 5,000 tons of fruits per year. Finished products in the form of dried fruits and fruit chips are planned to be exported to China.

In addition, within the framework of the project for construction of agro-logistic complex, Chinese investors planted a modern intensive cherry orchard on an area of ​​16.4 hectares.

The total cost of this project is $4.5 million and it is being implemented in two stages.The first stage worth $1.5 million, which includes the construction of a fruit processing facility with a capacity of 5,000 tons per year, has already been completed.

The second stage, worth $3 million, involves the establishment of facilities for deep processing of 15,000 tons of fruit per year, which will increase the output of fruit chips and dried fruits and create a fruit juice production line.
