BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 26. The Chinese Silk Road Fund and Saudi ACWA Power signed investment agreement for construction of a wind power plant in Uzbekistan,Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
The parties agreed to jointly finance a billion-dollar project for the construction of a wind power plant.
The power plant with a capacity of 1.5 gigawatts in Karakalpakstan will become the largest in the world and will provide electricity to more than 1.5 million households.
The contract was signed as a result of Beijing Financial Street Forum 2022 held on November 21-23.
