BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 22. Uzbekistan is widely introducing renewable energy sources (RES) in higher educational institutions,Trend reports via Uzbek Ministry of Energy.
In particular, to date, 3,372.2 kW of solar panels have been installed in 53 universities, 61,000 liters of solar water heaters, 1,585 outdoor lighting fixtures with solar panels.
Uzbekistan pays special attention to the introduction of energy-saving technologies and the development of RES. It is expected to increase the share of electricity production using all types of RES to a level of at least 25 percent by 2026.
