BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts the inflation rate in Turkmenistan at 11.3 percent in 2023, Trend reports with reference to IMF’s World Economic Outlook.
According to the information, in the previous forecast, the IMF predicted inflation in Turkmenistan at the level of 7 percent in 2023.
At the same time, the inflation rate for 2024 in Turkmenistan should decrease to 10 percent.
The IMF analysts expect Turkmenistan's inflation rate to drop further in 2028 to 10 percent (and the forecast for 2027 is 8 percent). Meanwhile, the inflation rate in Turkmenistan is estimated at 11.5 percent in 2022 (19.5 percent in 2021, according to IMF estimations).
