BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 14. The OSCE Programme office in Dushanbe modernized a sewing workshop in a female prison in Nurek district of Tajikistan, Trend reports with the reference to the press service of OSCE.
The OSCE provided 24 modern sewing machines, as well as other essential appliances and furniture. In addition, the Office put relevant household appliances and technical equipment in the visiting room as part of this help.
"The sewing workshop includes a cutting room, vocational training class, kitchen, shower, and changing room. Over 50 female prisoners will be engaged in the sewing workshop production, which will help them learn new skills and expand their job options after their release," the OSCE said.
