BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 24. Investment Bank Renaissance Capital shared a forecast on Tajikistan's GDP growth in 2023, Trend reports with reference to the bank's report.
Renaissance Capital forecasts Tajikistan's GDP growth rate at a level of 6 percent in 2023.
According to running data, the GDP growth of Tajikistan in 2022 eased but remained high at the level of 8 percent. This was facilitated by the high growth rates of industry and agriculture.
"Tajikistan somoni was one of the top CIS+ performers in 2022, driven by strong remittances’ inflow from Russia. Labor transfers from Russia, which traditionally accounted for above 20 percent of GDP, remain the key sensitivity for the external balance of the country," the bank said.
