BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 5. Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan emphasized the necessity for overhaul of roads (almost 214 km in total) across the country, Trend reports via Tajik media.
According to the ministry, currently a total of 17 investment projects in the field of transport worth 11 billion somoni ($1 billion) are being implemented in Tajikistan.
Meanwhile, implementation of 5 projects, including the construction of highways - Guliston-Kulob (32.5 kilometers), Dangara-Guliston (49.2 kilometers), Guliston-Farkhor (40 kilometers), Bokhtar-Levakant-Dangara (40 kilometers), 4 road sections in Sughd region (52 kilometers) will begin this year.
The ministry also noted that in the next three years, 317 kilometers of international highways, 32 bridges, 5 tunnels with a length of 11.2 km and will be put into operation in Tajikistan.
