BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 12. Tajikistan's trade turnover with Switzerland from January through October 2022 reached $285.4 million, which is an increase of 39.5 percent over the same period in 2021 Trend reports citing Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan press service.
This statement was made by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda during a meeting with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Tajikistan David Grichting.
As Zavkizoda noted, the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, pays special attention to strengthening trade and economic cooperation with Switzerland.
"Tajikistan's trade turnover with Switzerland from January through October 2022 reached $285.4 million, which is an increase of 39.5 percent over the same period in 2021," Zavkizoda underlined.
During the meeting, Zavkizoda and Grichting discussed the prospects for development of bilateral relations.
"A number of proposals were presented to expand cooperation, including a gradual increase in funding for priority projects of Tajikistan, the creation of joint textile enterprises, the production of aluminum products, the processing of agricultural products and others," the ministry said.
Furthermore, at the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to expand bilateral partnership.
