Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2022. /Kabar/. A mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), headed by Nikoloz Gigineishvili, is visiting Kyrgyzstan from November 9 to 22.
The National Bank said that the purpose of the visit of the IMF mission is to conduct consultations for the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with Article IV of the Articles of the IMF Agreement.
During the visit, meetings will be held with representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Bank and other organizations.
On the first day of the visit, Chairman of the National Bank Kubanychbek Bokontaev met with the IMF team. In its course, the parties discussed issues of the macroeconomic situation in the country, the external and banking sectors, as well as relevant policy measures.
