BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 12. The remittance outflows from Kyrgyzstan to Russia significantly increased in September 2022, Trend reports with reference to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan.
According to statistical data, money transfers from Kyrgyzstan to Russia in September this year more than doubled over the same month in 2021 ($53.3 million) - up to $108.6 million.
During the reporting, month, the amount of money sent from Kyrgyzstan abroad amounted to $170.4 million, with the majority of funds sent to Russia ($108.6 million) and Türkiye ($55.3 million).
At the same time, the volume of remittances from Russia to Kyrgyzstan in the reporting month amounted to $278.1 million, which is a decrease of 3.8 percent over September 2021 ($289.2 million).
Meanwhile, the overall money transfers to Kyrgyzstan decreased by 1.2 percent compared to the same month in 2021 ($295.5 million) - to $291.9 million.
