BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 29. The World Food Programme has published a price monitoring for food security in Kyrgyzstan from September 9 through October 7, 2022, Trend reports citing the WPF October 2022 report.
As reported, during the reporting period, the prices for the most staple foods in Kyrgyzstan remained stable.
For instance, the average price for 1 kg mutton meat in Kyrgyzstan from September 9 through October 7, 2022, was 534.3 soms ($6.4), milk 55 soms ($0.66) per 1 liter, 1 kg of sugar 95.6 soms ($1.1), and vegetable oil - 186.4 soms or $2.2) per 1 liter.
At the same time, during this period, the Kyrgyz population could buy 1 kg potatoes for 30.2 soms ($0.36), first grade wheat flour for 51.6 soms ($0.61), and 1 kg rice for 87 soms ($1).
This data is prepared based on the operational daily food price data collected by the National Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan from 18 markets across the country and disaggregated at province level as the average value.
