Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2022. / Kabar /. The Japanese government decided to provide grant assistance to the Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of USD 1 million, the Japanese Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
It is noted that assistance is provided in response to the worsening humanitarian situation in the Kyrgyz Republic, caused by clashes on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.
Through this assistance, the Government of Japan, with the assistance of the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), will provide humanitarian assistance in areas such as food, shelter and non-food items, protection, the report said.
