BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 19. A project is being implemented in Kyrgyzstan to increase the number of electric and gas-powered cars, said Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan Kanat Sadykov during today's press conference, Trend reports via tazabek.kg.
He informed that Kyrgyzstan is currently participating in a project, which is being funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the transition to gas-powered and electric vehicles.
“The project is at the stage of final negotiations, and the first funds in the amount of 50 million soms ($608,716) are expected to be received. We will be able to identify specific activities for the next five years, ” Sadykov said.
Moreover, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan has also announced today that in 2023 it plans to implement projects to improve the energy efficiency of buildings and switch to electric vehicles.
