BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. Kyrgyzstan from January through September 2022 increased textile production by 30.4 percent over the same period in 2021 (4.6 billion soms, or $56.1 million) - up to 6 billion soms ($72.9 million), Trend reports via National Statistical Committee.
During this period, production of clothing in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 4.4 billion soms ($53.1 million), which is 33.3 percent more compared to the corresponding period of last year (3.3 billion soms, or $40.7 million).
Meanwhile, the amount of other textile products (including the production of leather and footwear) produced from January through September 2022 reached 1.6 billion soms ($19.8 million).
As of October 13, 2022, the official exchange rate set by the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan is 83.33 KGS/1 USD.
