Civil Aviation Agency of Kyrgyzstan unveils results of its work in 2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 27. Civil Aviation Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan summed up the results of its work in 2022, Trend reports citing the agency's press service.

During the last year, Kyrgyz civil aviation authority implemented a number of measures aimed at improving flight safety.

For instance, a project to introduce amendments and additions to the Air Code of Kyrgyzstan was developed and submitted to the Administration of the Kyrgyz President was developed in 2022.

"As part of the World Bank project, work has started with the British Civil Aviation Agency to develop a State flight safety program. An Action Plan was also developed to optimize state regulation and supervision in the civil aviation system and Kyrgyzstan's exit from the EU black list for 2023," the message said.

Passenger traffic at Kyrgyz airports in the past year amounted to 5.1 million passengers, which is an increase of 30.7 percent compared to 2021 (3.9 million people).

Furthermore, to increase the potential and use the capabilities of the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute, work was carried out to open training courses for flight crew and flight technicians for Avro RJ-85, MD-83, Boeing-727-200, Boeing-737-300, Airbus A-320 aircraft, Ilyushin Il-76, Boeing-747-200 and Airbus A-300.
