BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 17. Kyrgyzstan considerably increased passenger car imports in 11 months of 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan
According to statistics, Kyrgyzstan imported 33,893 passenger cars from January through November 2022, which is almost a threefold increase compared to the corresponding period of 2021 (11,397 cars).
During the reporting period, South Korea ranked first among the main countries exporting cars to Kyrgyzstan - 7,342 passenger cars, followed by Georgia (6,560), and Russia (6,383).
The total value of Kyrgyz car imports reached $425.4 million from January through November 2022, which is 3.3 times more compared to the same period in 2021 ($128 million).
Meanwhile, the value of cars produced in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 1.1 billion soms ($13.8 million) in 11 months of last year.
