BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 12. Remittance flows from Russia to Kyrgyzstan reached an all-time high in 11 months of 2022, Trend reports with reference to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan.
According to statistics, money transfers from Russia to Kyrgyzstan totaled $2.6 billion from January through November 2022.
At the same time, the volume of remittances from Russia to Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period increased by 8.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2021 ($2.4 billion).
Thus, Russia traditionally ranked first among countries in the world in terms of remittances to Kyrgyzstan in 11 months of last year, followed by the US - $51 million and Türkiye - $11 million.
Meanwhile, the amount of money sent from Kyrgyzstan to Russia reached $860 million from January through November 2022.
