BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 22. The US Agency for International Development (USAID) will launch a special project to improve air quality in Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek, Trend reports citing the Kyrgyz Embassy in the US.
On December 20, 2022, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the US Bakyt Amanbaev met with U.S. Agency for International Development Deputy Assistant Administrator Anjali Kaur.
During the meeting, it was announced that USAID will begin a special project to improve the environment and air quality in Kyrgyzstan's capital.
Moreover, the U.S. side noted that the government of the US has provided assistance to Batken residents in the form of humanitarian aid totaling 8 million soms ($93,370).
USAID works with Kyrgyzstan to build on progress in democratic governance by partnering with institutions, promoting civic engagement, improving the delivery of public services, and expanding economic opportunity.
