BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 14. The volume of grain harvest in Kyrgyzstan significantly increased this year, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
As of November 23, 2022, the harvesting of grain crops (not including legumes, rice and buckwheat) from an area of 573,000 hectares was completed in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, during this period the grain harvest in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 1.9 million tons, which is an increase of 40.7 percent over the same period in 2021 (1.3 million tons).
Moreover, the harvest of the following agricultural products significantly increased: barley (2 times), wheat (1.6 times), cotton (14 percent), oil seeds (by 10 percent), vegetables (by 4 percent).
