BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 24. The Government of Tajikistan instructed to approve and sign the agreement on the Single Transit Permit of TRACECA (Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia) program, Trend reports via Tajik Media.
According to a decree that was published today on the Ministry of Justice of Tajikistan's website, the Minister of Transport of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim undertakes to sign the agreement on behalf of the Tajik government.
The Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan is instructed to coordinate with the Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA to settle the date and place of signing the document.
A single Transit Permit of TRACECA is a permit that entitles performing transit traffic through the territories of the parties. The initiative is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the corridor by digitizing the processes and procedures for obtaining permits, and will also help reduce the time and cost of the transportation process and optimize control procedures by reducing the number of permits.
