BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 25. The Loshan Shahid Beheshti Thermal Power Plant in the Gilan Province (northern Iran) generated 809,000 megawatt-hours of electricity during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2022), an official of Loshan Power Generation Management Company, Kambiz Moradi said, Trend reports citing Iran’s Thermal Power Plants Holding Company’s website.
According to Moradi, of this, about 60 percent was generated by steam units, and 40 percent - by gas units.
“Meanwhile, in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022) alone, the Loshan Shahid Beheshti TPP generated about 120,000 megawatt-hour of electricity,” the official added.
The Loshan Shahid Beheshti TPP can generate 360 megawatt hours of electricity in total. The power plant has two steam units with a capacity to generate 120 megawatt-hours of electricity each, and two gas units with a capacity to generate 60 megawatt-hours each.
