Kyrgyzstan's imports of gasoline from Russia drop

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 12. Kyrgyzstan's imports of Russian gasoline from January through August 2022 decreased, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Committee, Kyrgyz imports of gasoline from Russia in the first 8 months of this year decreased by 8.8 percent over the same period in 2021 ($269.4 million) - to $245.5 million.

During this period, Kyrgyzstan also imported gasoline from Uzbekistan in the amount of $2.2 million, Turkmenistan worth $1.6 million and Kazakhstan - $2 million.

Thus, the total amount of gasoline supplies to Kyrgyzstan from January through August 2022 amounted to $251.7 million, which is a decrease of 9 percent compared to the same period of last year ($276.6 million).

Meanwhile, the Kyrgyz import of goods from Russia in 8 months increased by 36.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year ($1.1 billion) - up to $1.5 billion.
