TEHRAN, Iran, October 12. Iran has banned the import of contaminated gasoline, said the chairman of Iran National Standards Organization (ISIRI) Mehdi Eslampanah, Trend reports citing ILNA.
Iran National Standards Organization is reviewing the quality of gasoline quality, he said adding that the organization legally controls and monitors the quality of domestic and imported fuel.
The Ministry of Petroleum is legally obligated to comply with standards for domestic and imported gasoline, he noted.
The official has indicated that Iran Standard Organization is also reviewing the quality of autos and auto parts to prevent pollution.
