BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 5. Prices for diesel fuel in Kyrgyzstan will increase this autumn, said today the executive director of the Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan Kanat Eshatov, Trend reports via Kyrgyz Media.
He claims that the seasonal increase in diesel retail prices is caused by the fact that three large Russian plants have started preventive maintenance and are replacing foreign components with Russian analogues, which is the cause of the diesel shortage in Russia.
"The increase in the cost of fuel and lubricants is a global trend. The price for diesel at Russian refineries has increased by 98 percent since the beginning of the year, and the retail price in Kyrgyzstan has increased by 22.5 percent," Eshatov said.
Earlier, at the beginning of August, he noted that supplies of diesel fuel from Russia to Kyrgyzstan have declined due to a sharp increase in prices. Over the July 2022, wholesale prices for diesel fuel have doubled, and in August there are fixed at $600 per ton.
