Iran looks to tackle sanctions by investing in refineries abroad

TEHRAN, Iran, July 9. Iranian MP, member of Planning and Budget Commission of Iranian Parliament Mohammadreza MirTajeddini said Iran`s investment in refineries abroad will help battle the imposed sanctions, Trend reports citing IRNA.

“Iran can export gas condensates, technical and engineering services by building refineries and petrochemical complexes abroad,” he said.

Referring to the recent visit of Oil Minister Javad Owji to South American countries, MirTajeddini said that Iran is seeking to buy shares in oil refineries abroad.

He went on to say that in addition to economic and trade relations with Latin American countries such as Venezuela, Iran doesn't exclude same relations and cooperation with Central Asia.

Iran can export gas to Tajikistan and get water in return, he said.
