BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 10. The volume of crude oil and related products transported to various plants, power plants and other consumption points in Iran increased by 2.2 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Executive Director of Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company (OPTC), Arslan Rahimi told reporters, Trend reports citing Shana News Agency.
He noted that a total of 131 billion liters of crude oil and petroleum products were transported within Iran in the last year, while this figure stood at 128 billion liters in the preceding year.
Rahimi added that 68 billion liters of crude oil and 63 billion liters of petroleum products were transported in the last year.
“At the same time, 3.8 billion liters of liquid fuel were transported to 19 thermal power plants in Iran,” he said.
The director noted that the Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company transports crude oil and oil products to the country's oil refineries and consumption points through more than 14,000 kilometers of pipelines in the country.
